About Us
The Valemount Specialty Mill is a subsidiary of the community run Valemount Industrial Park providing employment for the local area. Our vision and mission: To promote local economic diversity and enhance the economic and social well being for the citizens within the Robson Valley. We are dedicated to utilizing locally sourced raw materials to produce products in an economically and environmentally sustainable way and that will benefit the local inhabitants of the area.
Services
We mill locally sourced timber (Douglas Fir, Hemlock, Western Red Cedar, Pine and Spruce) harvested by local loggers into rough timbers of custom dimensions from 2×2 to various Dimensions up to 34″ up to lengths of 30 feet.
We can do custom grain orientations, Live-edge planks and well as large timbers for specialty products. Clear timbers are available upon request and non-stock items can be supplied on short notice.
Logs
As our primary mission we are proud to say our logs are locally sourced primarily from 3 local Community Forest Operations, local Woodlot owners and other tenure.
